Patti Harris-Baldes – Wyoming

Patti (Buffalo Medicine Woman), a Northern Arapaho and Big Pine Paiute Matriarch in training, shares her Buffalo story through her 20-year photography journey dubbed, Patti with an Eye. Her story conveys the deep relationship that was also absent until buffalo physically returned to her life. Sharing her ReMatriate message through dance, song and speaking engagements, she advocates for Matriarchy, Land & Water Back, Food Sovereignty and Relationship. Patti’s perspective of connection to the Buffalo is fed not only through her lens but meeting all her senses through field harvests, learning and sharing. Patti is the Director of Wind River Native Advocacy Center, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Native Memory Project, Wind River Community Alliance, Yellowstone Peoples and WyoFile.
