Amy Goto – Hawaii

Growing up in the Bay Area of California, Amy was exposed to the benefits of the outdoors from a young age in the forms of sailing and fishing. It was only after moving to Hawai’i that she dove into the deep end of harvesting from nature in the forms of spearfishing and hunting. As exhilarating as the harvest always is, Amy’s favorite part is being able to provide for her family and friends while promoting sustainability. Given Hawai‘i’s unique abundance of invasive game, she hopes to introduce more women to the sustainably responsible lifestyle of utilizing these resources through hunting and fishing.
