Julia Mitchell-California

Julia Mitchell is from northern California and she started fly fishing in 1999. She enjoys fishing and hiking in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest with her pup Shuggy. She’s always on the hunt for a great steelhead opportunity! In her free time she works with her nonprofit, Rising to the Fly, to get more women out on the water fishing. She’s excited to bring her skills and passion for making fishing more accessible for women to the Artemis program. She brings her enthusiasm for the outdoors and commitment to conservation, especially for keeping public lands open to everyone.
