Jamalea Martelle – Alaska
Jamalea Martelle grew up in Colorado and has spent the last 14 years enjoying the wildlife and wild places of Alaska. She lives in Juneau with her husband, Charlie and golden retriever, Olive. She has a deep love and fondness for the Mendenhall Wetlands State Game Refuge where she hunts waterfowl, bird watches, stewards land trust property, and explores the ever changing tidelands. She enjoys moose hunting in the interior, fly fishing for steelhead, Dolly Varden trout and salmon, hunting black bear and Sitka blacktail deer throughout the Tongass National Forest, and spending summers on the saltwater fishing and whale watching. Through the Artemis community she’s found courage, empowerment, support, inspiration and many friendships. She is excited to serve her second term as Ambassador.
