Dana Green – Illinois
While originally a ‘city girl’ from St. Louis, Dana Green moved away from concrete streets to be heavily steeped in the outdoors and wildlife. Earning a doctorate in biology focused on wildlife ecology, Dana began learning about the history and practice of falconry in 2017. After starting her journey to become a falconer in Flagstaff, Arizona, Dana completed her own apprenticeship in 2022 with her peregrine falcon, Eos, in Saskatchewan, Canada. Alongside Eos and her springer spaniel, Puck, Dana specializes in duck hunting and upland birds. Through falconry, Dana has grown a deep appreciation for the intricacies of predator-prey relationships, animal behavior, and the importance of respecting the land that she and her team hunts on.
