Katrina Hornung – Georgia
Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Katrina did not have much exposure to hunting or fishing. During her college years, looking for a way to spend more time outside, she joined the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps. There her love of the outdoors and wild places blossomed. While working in conservation and bouncing around the country, she continued to develop her outdoor skills: first by adding foraging and later hunting to her repertoire. Katrina is eager to continue learning about local hunting traditions, and helping other women learn to develop their confidence outdoors. When she’s not working, she can often be found in the garden, slinging arrows with her new bow, or tromping around the woods looking for mushrooms with her coonhound, Hades.
