Manda Michaelis – Florida
Manda lives in the Red Hills of North Florida, where she serves as a Deputy Sheriff and a professional wingshooting guide. A wife, mother, and first-generation hunter, Manda is deeply passionate about the pursuit of wild birds, the stewardship of public lands, and the traditions that connect people to both.
She shares the field with her German Shorthaired Pointers, which she trains and handles in tests, trials, and guided hunts. Manda was taken under the wing of the legendary Dogmen in South Georgia, where she learned the Art of Dog Work—knowledge rooted in patience, grit, and respect for the dog and the land. Passing on these skills and traditions is central to her mission, as is welcoming those seeking community, mentorship, and a deeper understanding of the sporting life.
