Jayne Henson-New York

Jayne Henson resides in the mid Hudson valley region of New York. Originally from the western plains in Kansas, followed by seven years of city life in NYC she now enjoys the forests, streams, mountains, and fields of the region she calls home. As an avid hunter Jayne enjoys pursuing white tail deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, pheasants, bobwhite quail, and black bear. While also nurturing an obsession for waterfowl hunting. Growing up fishing was always a familial pastime, today Jayne enjoys chasing any number of freshwater fish species either on conventional tackle from her small boat, while wading in the mountain streams of the Catskills with a fly rod, through the “hard water” during the winter ice season, and even the occasional red fish or snook in the salt water flats. As a conservationist Jayne has volunteered in multiple organizations including Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, and Trout Unlimited. She is currently the director of the LGBTQ hunting advocacy organization “Queers and Camo”, and has served as a hunting mentor for several years with Hunters of Color. Seemingly allergic to “down time” Jayne also pursues competitive archery, and the Precision Rifle.
