Go Confident in the Wild students will learn:

Firearm safety

Wilderness first aid

Basic orienteering

Maintaining and extinguishing a fire in a responsible way

Campfire cooking

Bear safety

Proper gear selection

Issues in wildlife conservation and public land advocacy


Go Confident on the Water – students will receive instruction on many topics including the following:

Techniques for fly fishing and reel fishing

Proper gear selection and maintenance

Wading and water safety

Wilderness first aid

River navigation

Maintaining and extinguishing a fire in a responsible way

Issues in wildlife conservation and water advocacy

Most importantly, these courses will foster a community of sportswomen and develop relationships between women mentors and mentees. Artemis strongly believes this community is vital to retaining and continuing to recruit new hunters and anglers.
