Intro to Packing

January 28, 2023

  • « NORTH COUNTRY ICEBREAKER
  • Hunter Safety Education Class »

Ever wonder about how to pack horses or mules into the backcountry?

Join the Jemez Chapter of Back Country Horsemen and Artemis New Mexico for a co-ed talk to learn what it takes to get started.

Experienced packers will introduce types of saddles and gear, talk about how to manage different loads, and more!

If you’d like to hands-on practice with provided animals, watch for details about our co-ed pack clinic on Saturday, April 1 at the Cyclone Center in Stanley, NM. Time and cost TBD.
