Artemis Virtual Happy Hour: Falconry

October 12

  • « Wyoming Ladies Elk Camp
  • Massachusetts Duck Hunt »

Every month Artemis Ambassadors from around the country host a virtual happy hour for sportswomen from 8-9 PM EST.

On Thursday, October 12, grab your favorite beverage and join Artemis and Lauren McGough!

Lauren is a cultural anthropologist with a specialty in human-animal partnerships. She earned her PhD documenting the Kazakh tradition of hunting in partnership with golden eagles in Mongolia. She is currently working as a post-doctoral researcher, but her true love is flying golden eagles in pursuit of jackrabbits in the American West. Utilizing falconry techniques, she particularly enjoys teaching rehab eagles the hunting and soaring skills they need to survive in the wild.
